Yutraffic China manages traffic in Beijing
- The Yutraffic China team received a “thank you” letter from Beijing, the contribution of the Beijing UTC project team was highly appreciated.
- Yutraffic China provided 200+ sets of MCU-6 traffic controllers since Q1 of 2022, based on 588 sets in the last year.
- The team maintained traffic in Beijing during the Winter Olympics in February and March 2022.
- So far, more than 2200 intersections in downtown Beijing are equipped by Yutraffic (former Siemens ITS).
Our Yutraffic China team received a “thank you” letter from the city of Beijing of the Beijing High-level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone for supporting the construction and application of the demonstration area. The city of Beijing commended the Yutraffic China team for their excellent work in implementing the project. Since 2021, the construction of the High-level Autonomous Driving Demonstration Zone in Beijing has achieved fruitful results. The city of Beijing praised the urban application scenarios supported by Yutraffic, such as autonomous cabs, autonomous buses, unmanned vending machines, distribution, sanitation, and cycling connections.
In addition, Beijing UTC’s project team was praised for doing an excellent job in maintaining traffic during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. The project team worked day and night on the road and was often busy until the early hours of the morning optimizing the traffic plan and maintaining VIP routes.

We all know that traffic in Beijing is a big challenge, but we are lucky to have the technologies from Yutraffic. We not only provide controllers and systems, but also professional service for Beijing. The initial traffic signal timing is set according to the algorithm and formula in conjunction with traffic laws and the actual situation on site, reflecting all conditions on the platform. If fine-tuning of the timing is required, it can be done either manually on site or remotely through the platform. Seeing traffic run smoothly is a great sense of accomplishment and we are proud to work with our brilliant team!”
