Trends turn into technology
We all want livable cities where we can live, work, and enjoy our free time. We can create these spaces if we want to – if we rethink mobility.
If we want to convince people to use methods other than individual transportation, we need new mobility options that are both convenient and flexible. Digitalization can significantly accelerate the shift toward sustainable, efficient, and climate-friendly urban mobility. As one of the pioneers of intelligent solutions for transport and infrastructure in and between cities, we not only offer mature technologies and solutions, but also are a competent adviser to those responsible in city administrations and ministries.

Let’s talk about what’s next
Only together can we master the challenges of urban mobility and create solutions that do not contradict a livable environment. In Hamburg, we would like to present our concepts and solutions, and get in touch with you and your ideas – let’s talk about your mobility challenges.

About urbanization
Anyone who talks about urbanization also has to talk about traffic jams and gridlock. How can we win back our cities, making them greener and more livable again?
About digitalization
How can we use digitalization for intelligent transportation solutions? The year 2020 showed us how valuable digital solutions are – and not just for mobile working.

About the climate crisis
This issue confronts all of us with uncomfortable truths about the state of our planet and its future. How can we minimize pollution, especially from road traffic, to save the viability of our cities for future generations?
About shared economies
Bicycles, scooters, and autonomous cars in a shared traffic ecosystem: shared economies will change urban mobility. Continuous data exchanges between vehicles and an intelligent infrastructure will make traffic safer and more fluid.

About connectivity
What advantages does artificial intelligence offer in the context of traffic and transportation? With newly developed data solutions, we use existing information to optimize urban traffic systems.

Digital evolution or revolution?
Tuesday, October 12, 4:00-5:30 p.m. CEST, Messe - Copenhagen 1-3
This session will review some of the challenges for deploying future digital services, and consider whether we are accidentally dividing younger and older, city dwellers and suburban/rural livers, users of motorised vehicles and cyclists and walkers? How can we make sure that we don’t exclude some users or some categories of the population from access to information that is adapted to their individual needs and circumstances?
Our speaker:
Markus Schlitt

Manage incidents collaboratively across organizations – Traffic Information Management System (TIMS) in Hamburg
Wednesday, October 13, 10:00-11:00 a.m. CEST, Hall B5
Traffic management in cities often involve multiple decentralized organizations that need to coordinate with one another. Yunex Traffic and the City of Hamburg demonstrate how these organizations can now manage their transportation networks collaboratively using a common operational view and communications platform. Now, operators from all stakeholder organizations can act on the same incident data (e.g. collisions, constructions, and events) and traffic condition data.
Our speakers and guests:
Anjes Tjarks - Minister for Transport and Mobility Transition - City of Hamburg
Nils Schmidt - Head of Yunex Traffic Germany
The New Era of Road Pricing
Wednesday, October 13, 2:00-3:30 p.m. CEST, CCH
Name it Road Pricing, Congestion Charging or City Tolling – usage-based charging is probably the most powerful tool that traffic management has to offer. Let us discuss benefits and challenges of road pricing approaches, look at recent developments of data-driven technology and think of social-economical aspects in an interdisciplinary round.
Our speakers:
Holger Erhardt - Head of Interurban Solutions at Yunex Traffic
Sebastian Althen - Product and Sales Manager for Digital Twin at Yunex Traffic
With Vehicle-to-Everything communication (V2X and Smart Detection), connected traffic systems become reality!
Wednesday, October 13, 12:30-1:30 p.m. CEST, Messe Room Copenhagen 3
Digitalization of roads is an essential component for the future of mobility: Intelligent communication technologies & Smart Detection connect vehicles with the surrounding infrastructure. This helps cities and municipalities to improve the quality of life of citizens by increasing safety and sustainability. Grab a bite to eat and discuss the latest trends and projects!
Our speaker:
Martin Schulze Suedhoff - Head of Urban Solutions at Yunex Traffic
Thursday, October 14
Digital Twin – Digitalization of Infrastructure and Traffic
Thursday, October 14, 9:30-11:00 a.m. CEST, Messe Room Copenhagen 1
Digital Twins based on Building Information Modeling (BIM) and data acquisition via lidar-scans and photogrammetry are just the beginning. Adding asset-date, functionality of ITS systems up to the traffic itself leads to a holistic Digital Twin with universal applications for the road operators
Our speakers:
Holger Erhardt - Head of Interurban Solutions at Yunex Traffic
Sebastian Althen - Product and Sales Manager for Digital Twin at Yunex Traffic
Please note that the speeches and sessions listed above are object to potential changes by the organizers.
