Never Say No – Our North American Field Services Team on Commitment and Success

During Customer Services week, we’re saluting Yunex Traffic’s North American Field Services team for their commitment to clients and their “never say no” attitude.
A perfect case in point is the work the team recently completed for TransCore, the ITS and tolling technology leader, on its contract with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC). In July 2022, TransCore had an unpredictable and urgent need for a team to augment its own workforce, and Yunex Traffic’s Field Services division jumped in. Initially deploying installers from Southern California, the team pulled and spliced wire and fiber lines, and installed cabinets on Highway 101, a major freeway that services San Francisco International Airport. Steven Teal, Director of Customer Services at Yunex Traffic US, said the team’s response captures its philosophy. “We are committed to accomplishing our customers’ goals with maximum effort and minimum disruption,” he said. “TransCore had an urgent need, and we believe we delivered a seamless solution.”
Yunex Traffic Field Services crews worked for several months on the Highway 101 project, which ran 10-miles for five to six lanes north and south from the San Mateo Bridge right into the airport. The project also highlights the fact that though Yunex Traffic is on the team’s name, they can install and service equipment from any manufacturer. “None of the equipment we worked on was manufactured by our parent company,” said Teal. “While we would like everyone to use Yunex Traffic solutions, we know there are other companies that make products. Our Field Services team is vendor agnostic, so we have the flexibility to work with any technology.”
The Highway 101 project marks the team’s return to Northern California and under the leadership of Ajay Patel and Chris Hagen, Yunex Traffic’s Field Services Division is in the process of opening a permanent office in the area to service Northern California’s traffic maintenance and installation need. “This is a fantastic market for us,” said Patel. “But our Field Services Division can replicate the kind of work we did for TransCore anywhere, for any customer.”
As an apparent sign of their satisfaction with the Highway 101 effort, TransCore has already approached the team about additional projects to begin as early as the first quarter of 2023.
