Pretty cool, right? Find out more and check out our student opportunities today:

Hi Marc, we’d love to hear more about your role, what can you tell us?

Hi, I’m Marc and I’m currently enrolled in a Dual Study programme with “DHBW (Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg)”, a special university for this kind of studies in Mannheim/Germany which means I work and study at the same time for a three year period. At the moment I’m two years into my programme with one year left. The opportunity to work for Yunex Traffic and simultaneously completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Economics enables me to gain work experience whilst actually learning the theory.

I really love the fact I can do both at the same time rather than the traditional route of solely completing my studies before entering the field of work. During my time with Yunex Traffic, I’ve been able to work with the different departments which enables me to get a full grasp on the daily overview of how the business works. The program includes one phase abroad which I was fortunate enough to recently spend with our team in Singapore.

What made you want to join #TeamYunexTraffic?

There are many reasons why I wanted to join #TeamYunexTraffic. The most notable one would be the culture and how I’m empowered to truly work in the best way for me. There is a modern culture here with flexible working and the freedom to develop.

It has a small-medium sized approach and everyone works closely together, not just in the team but also cross-continent as I’ve experienced during my time in Singapore. The business is only growing further – it’s exciting times ahead!

What do you love about your role?

Meeting different people every day allows me to gain insightful impressions which has been significant to my professional development here. Working on different tasks day-to-day allows my experience and role to remain diverse.

It’s often especially challenging for students to determine the right specialization or fit for them and by working in different departments I’m able to immerse myself and have a much clearer picture of the specialization that best fits me.

What are you looking forward to in your future career?

I’m excited to first finish my Degree and I’m looking forward to being a long-term member of Yunex Traffic where I can help to grow the business all over the world. I’m excited for the future and what this may bring!

What advice would you give to anyone considering a student role?

Take the chance (especially when you’re overseas) and try as much as you can during this time. Immerse yourself in the company. Actively connect with other people and ask for opportunities to get involved and support. There are a lot of opportunities to learn and make a difference!
