Pupils get to know traffic lights anew at Yunex Traffic

As part of the "Technikferien" (Technology Holidays) organized by the association "Technik für Kinder e.V." (Technology for Children), Yunex Traffic today welcomed technology-loving schoolchildren to its main site in Munich Perlach. In an interactive guided tour, the participants were invited to take a look behind the scenes of traffic lights and learn how modern traffic management paves the way for autonomous driving.

We are equipping Zurich with new traffic lights every Tuesday - that is a total of 200 by the end of 2023! Along with it, 200 new sX controllers will be installed. The sX technology is flexible and adaptable so that it grows with the city's traffic infrastructure. It offers innovations in V2X, network adaptive controls, increased resilience, and state of the art technology such as networking, cyber security and easy access via web browser.

In one of Britain’s largest cities, we are proudly helping to improve air quality! Using our Clean Air Zone enforcement technology and Sicore II ANPR camera-based solutions, we have helped to reduce nitrogen dioxide levels within the Zone by 13% in the first six months of operation. This project perfectly demonstrates our purpose of making cities more liveable and more sustainable, helping to clean up the air local people breathe and improving safety for all road users.

The first traffic light with artificial intelligence went into operation near the regional school center for the hearing and visually impaired to increase safety at intersections. The technology "awareAI" automatically registers if pedestrians want to cross the road or if they walk past the intersection. Larger groups or slower moving pedestrians are detected to adjust the duration of the green phases.

The adaptive traffic management project in Belgrade/Serbia includes the modernization of 322 intersections with smart sX controllers, 1W signal heads, detection equipment and the implementation of 22 adaptive traffic management areas. This is the first project in Serbia with the 1W technology.

Yunex Traffic Expands Statewide Connected Vehicle Program in Colorado, USA

Yunex Traffic today announced the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has selected the company to provide 150 RSU2X roadside units (RSUs). The one-year project is part of Colorado’s expansion of connected vehicle (CV) technology across more than 400 miles of interstate corridors. The contract includes an option to purchase additional roadside units in additional years.
