How do we deliver a culture of
Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging?

We launched Yunex Traffic in 2021 and from the very start, our commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging has been embedded within our culture. ​We appointed our first Chief Diversity Officer for Yunex Traffic who is working with colleagues across our regions to lead our commitment to shape a truly equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can bring their whole selves to work.

COVID-19 showed us we can do things differently. At Yunex Traffic, our new normal and way of working empowers our people to put their work-life balance at the forefront. We work flexibly, with our office based employees balancing their time between the office and working from an alternative environment, wherever they are happiest and able to perform their role. Whatever their situation or preference, we encourage them to do what works for them. We are open to our roles being fulfilled part-time and ensure we promote this right from the start.​

​Working with our Learning & Development team, we have launched an e-Learning platform with a dedicated section for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging. We encourage our people to broaden their awareness, understand how they can support one another and continue to #breakthebias.

It is well known that the transport industry has traditionally been one of little diversity and we are committed to achieving gender equality across our business.

An important step towards our goal: increasing the number of management roles fulfilled by women.

In October 2022, we launched our Women’s Network. The Network brings women and allies together to shape a safe and valuable workplace. A workplace where they can develop and grow their careers. And, opportunities to inspire other women to join our industry also.

On International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia in 2021, we launched our YuPride Network.

Members of the LGBTQIA+ community and our passionate allies are creating a workplace where everyone can be their true selves at Yunex Traffic – every single day.

The YuPride Network is growing and the team are dedicated to leading our Pride activities across #TeamYunexTraffic.

Our team launched the Neurodivergent Network with an aim to embrace neurocognitive differences within our company and offer support and advice to people with Neurodivergent traits, diagnosed conditions as well as allies.

Our Policy for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging

Our Policy for Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) empowers and supports everyone across Yunex Traffic in further creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. Below, we share an insight into the 10 principles that define our policy and commitment:

  • Our Leaders are continuously committed to and accountable for driving EDIB topics forward across our business.
  • We use a comprehensive workforce demographic analysis and results from our annual employee survey to identify any representation gaps and disparities.
  • We continuously review and revise job descriptions and requirements to eliminate bias and promote inclusivity.
  • We engage in community outreach initiatives that support diversity and inclusion.
  • We revise our policies and procedures to ensure they are inclusive and free from bias.
  • We share our progress and success stories, we celebrate cultural and heritage months and we participate in diversity-related initiatives.
  • We foster a diverse supplier base and encourage suppliers to align with our EDIB values.
  • We are providing regular EDIB trainings for all employees to raise awareness and promote understanding.
  • We establish KPIs to measure the impact of EDIB initiatives and conduct regular evaluations and assessments.
  • We assign responsibility for each action item and make adjustments based on feedback and outcomes.
