Modern cities are becoming increasingly interconnected, creating both opportunities and challenges. Critical infrastructure relies on digital communication systems, making it vulnerable to cyber threats, while many urban systems continue to operate in isolation despite pursuing common goals.
At the same time, emerging technologies such as big data, digital twins, and artificial intelligence offer powerful opportunities to enhance and optimize mobility management. Our vision is an intelligent, connected city where technology is not only optimized for performance, but also designed with security at its core.

The solutions of Yunex Traffic
Digitalization is the future of mobility. Our solutions incorporate cybersecurity by design to gather, integrate and weave data intelligently into useful insights for all mobility stakeholders. Whether in cities, on highways, or when it comes to the functional and data security of our solutions, we ensure comprehensive security in all areas.
Aimsun is an industry leader in behaviour-based traffic simulation, with over 25 years of expertise in traffic modelling software and services. Aimsun’s fully integrated software solutions complement the Yunex Traffic portfolio, enabling strategic transport planning and real-time mobility management by simulating future traffic flows. From design and implementation through to day-to-day operations, traffic engineers and operators can rely on industry-leading tools and services for the planning, data provision, management and operation of their traffic control systems.
To maintain or gain their attractiveness in a sustainable way, cities and regions need to address transport and its impact on people and the environment. Strategies must include not only a shift to other modes of transport, but also the intelligent management of road traffic. Experience has shown that it is not enough to simply react to traffic congestion after damage has occurred. Critical infrastructure needs to be maintained and management without interruption. Predictive planning is essential to make the best use of the capacity of the transport network and should include situations such as a planned event or traffic restrictions due to pollution thresholds.
Optimize the performance of your mobility infrastructure throughout its entire lifecycle.
From maintenance and operation to optimization, our service team is at your side to keep your systems operating at their best performance – for sustainable and cost-efficient mobility. In addition, we from Yunex Traffic are available as consultants and implementers for EVCI maintenance and provide you with a secure digital infrastructure for all your city’s mobility applications.

Weiden, Germany, 6 October 2026. The City of Weiden is the first municipality to deploy Yutraffic awareAI 2.0, the next generation of AI-enabled traffic detection from Yunex Traffic. The deployment marks a key milestone in the global rollout of Yutraffic awareAI 2.0, combining advanced AI-enabled traffic detection, real-time insights and seamless integration to help cities…
Brno, Czech Republic, 30 September 2026. Brno is taking the next step in its mobility journey with a new Traffic Information Center designed to create a single source of truth for traffic operations across the city. Bringing together traffic, parking, public transport and roadway information, the platform will support more informed decision-making and provide AI-enabled…
Belgrade, 28 September 2026. Yunex Traffic has successfully completed the implementation of Belgrade’s Adaptive Traffic Control System, one of the most ambitious urban mobility modernization projects in the region. The new central traffic control system now monitors and manages traffic operations across around 400 intersections in Belgrade, enabling both citywide adaptive traffic control and local…
Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) measures axle loads and gross vehicle weights of commercial vehicles while they are in motion, even at highway speeds. This makes it possible to detect overloaded vehicles at an early stage and direct them to targeted inspections without unnecessarily disrupting traffic flow. As a result, WIM makes an important contribution to protecting roads…
As hurricanes become more frequent, more intense, and increasingly disruptive, transportation agencies face growing pressure to ensure critical infrastructure can perform under the most challenging conditions. The ability to move people safely and efficiently before, during, and after a storm has never been more important. While much of the conversation focuses on storm tracking, road…
1. Kathrin, what personally fascinates you about V2X technology, and why is it so relevant for public transportation? V2X is the first technology that directly connects road users dynamically with the road infrastructure. What fascinates me most is that it transforms a transportation system made up of many individual, largely independent components into a cooperative,…
